Synthetic ATV Winch Cable Replaces Steel ATV Winch Cable

Long gone are the days when steel cable is stronger than woven rope.

Just as the woven material Kevlar has replaced metal armor and chain mail in battle; today’s synthetic ATV Winch cable (or rope) has replaced the old steel cable. Designed for working loads up to 4,000 lbs, these synthetic ATV winch rope/cables are easier and safer to work with than the old steel cables.

Rope will not kink, fray into dangerous wire slivers, cause backlashes and most of all is safer if snapped.

Here are just 2 reviews of the Mad Dog Gear® Synthetic Winch Cable.

So much nicer than steel rope, December 15, 2008

"Everything about the rope's description and use described in the item notes are right on. So much nicer to work with than the steel cable. The woven end loop eliminates the steel rope clasp for the hook and gave me increased lift clearance for the plow blade"

AWESOME PRODUCT A MUST HAVE ITEM., July 22, 2010 "I use this Synthetic Rope on my 2006 Yamaha 450 Kodiak ATV mounted on a 2500 Lb Warn Winch. I have used it for 2 winters to run my plow equipment and find it does not "RATS NEST" like the wire cable that was originally supplied with the winch. I have also used it several times to haul trees off the bike trails and several fellow ATV riders out of hard spots. I have found 1 fault with it over the 2 year period and that is it should have a metal eye where the hook attaches as I have noticed some minor fraying in this area."

Make life easier by adding a Mad Dog Gear® 1/4" Synthetic Winch Cable 60 ft. to your ATV winch. Works with all standard ATV and UTV winches. Meets ATV competition and club specifications when used with a screw pin shackle.
